Hello, bought a hummer H3 alpha from a dealer in the usa for and got it imported in my country madagascar. Unfortunately the battery was down when I got it and so I changed it;few days after that the battery went down again. Checked the fuses and knew that the loss of power when the car was off was coming from the BCM body control module.

the abs and hand break lights are always on, plus rear brake lights and rear turning lights are not working and the air conditioning system also is out of order.
can someone help me please since my dealer is not even replying to my mails. Sad.
regards and help please.

Had the same issue with my H2 was caused by the radio blowing try removing fuses for radio amp and if fitted the info system if it is the same issue then you should find that things start resetting chances are though you have blown part of the BCM which is a pig to replace as most of the DASH has to come out and has to be dealer fitted as it needs to be programmed. The ABS and Brake light can be reset with the diagnostic tool. It is definitely a short that is causing your problem. If the above does not work try removing non essential fuses until things start to come back on to see what caused it.

Here are instructions on how to replace the BCM and the location below. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Hello sir,
i have a hummer H3 alpha and have a problem.
I'm based in madagascar (indian ocean) and I imported my car from the USA.

The battery was down, so I changed it but again it went down. For me there was a loss of power
i checked all the fuses to see if there was not a short circuit.
When the car was off there was a loss of power and while checking all the fuses, I came to know that the body control fuse and the air con (ventilator) fuse were the prob.
The abs and the break lights (dash board) are always on, plus the rear brake light and turning lights are not working.
Can you guys please help me since my dealer(moore cadillac) is not even replying me.
Thanks again since i'm really desperate.
Cordially

2007 Hummer H3 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Manual

When replacing you BCM and Cluster, the cluster locks out and the car will not start.
Since the BCM network is GM Class 2 (J1850) does anyone know the un lock code to send?
Thanks - Mike

Here is the information for programming and setup of the BCM. To my knowledge it requires a gm techline terminal for programming, but I am a dealer technician.
Body Control Module Programming and Setup
Introduction
The procedures below are designed to set-up the body control module (BCM) correctly during BCM related service. Before you start, read these procedures carefully and completely.

Important: The following procedures must be followed:

Programming the BCM
Learning the restraints ID
Programming Theft Deterrent System Components
Program Key Fobs
Program Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) System
Programming the BCM
Important: After the procedure is completed, the personalization settings of the BCM are set to a default setting. Inform the customer that the personalization must be set again.

Perform BCM special function "Request BCM Info. For SPS", then follow the instructions on the screen. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) for more information.

Learning the Restraints ID
Perform BCM special function "Setup SDM Serial Number in BCM", then follow the instructions on the screen.

Programming Theft Deterrent System Components
Perform BCM special function "Request VTD Info. For SPS", then follow the instructions on the screen. Refer to Programming Theft Deterrent System Components.

Program Key Fobs
Refer to Transmitter Programming for the proper procedure.

Program Tire Pressure (TPM) System
Refer to Tire Pressure Monitor System Configuration for the proper procedure.

Important: After programming, perform the following to avoid future misdiagnosis:

Turn the ignition OFF for 10 seconds.
Connect the scan tool to the data link connector.
Turn the ignition ON, with the engine OFF.
Use the scan tool in order to retrieve history DTCs from all modules.
Clear all history DTCs.
