Hello!
My name's Daniel and I'm from Austria.
A year and a half ago I bought a Suzuki Baleno 1.3 and I love it. Only real problem is that the previous owner spray-painted the originally grey interior plastic parts (it's not really the dashboard, it's the area from the windshiel to the steering wheel, how do you call that exactly?) Using an inappropriate paint. In summer, the glaring is almost unbearable and the paint starts to form ugly bubbles. So I thought I'd try to plasti dip it. I think it'd be best to remove the entire part before spraying it (else the masking would be quite some work and I'd have to be really flexible). Since I've never done anything like this before, how do I proceed?
Really glad for your help, I hope next summer I'll be able to drive without something covering the area.

We don't have that car in U.S. But I wouldn't recommend removing the dash as you have to disconnect the air bags. Try using lacquer thinner or acetone to remove old paint and then using the correct paint for it as they make that. Masking may take some time but a lot easier.

This part sounds like it will pop up easily as it was painted before by someone who doesn't strike me as a pro. If there is a distinct line that looks like the painted part is separate from the rest, try popping it up and out. Then id sand it use paint specially formulated for plastic OR get one of those velour dash pads

Thank you guys for the answers.
I guess I'll call the previous owner and ask him how he did it. I really don't know too much about cars so I rather not do something thats complicated and could end up with a disassembled car.
