Hi all. My name is agus, I am from indonesia and I need some help with my kia carnival 2500cc gasoline engine automatic transmission. The problem is:
1. The engine is not running properly at idling position (rpm is always move up and down and when I push down the gas pedal, dark black smoke comes out from the muffler. What's the problem?
2. Transmission. When I drive in D position, Neutral indication is always flashing. And I feel's like only a third gear is work when the car is running (no shifting exept R (move back position is work good) So. Help me plizzz and thanks before

For the engine, check for trouble codes. Have the spark plugs checked. Check throttle position sensor.

For the transmission, an error has been detected and the transmission is in limp mode, meaning the transmission is locked in 3rd gear when it is moving and if you strain the transmission, you are going to damage. You need to retrieve the trouble code to know what is causing the problem, usually a faulty solenoid or sensor or their wiring.

Very glad to read your reply. I have once more quetion Mr. Khlow. What kind of tools to registering a code on the bottom of common rail diesel's injector in to an ECU? Thank you.

There Kia has their factory scan tools and there are generic scan tools that do have the capabilities.
