heyy.. I just recently bought an 89 prelude and the ported vacuum switch is broken.. and I can't find the right part anywhere.. so does it really matter what kinda of ported vacuum switch I buy, as long as it has the same amount of ports?

First of all your Honda was made in Japan not the uS. The first number of the VIN is "J"

I need to know where the switch is mounted and how many ports and if water flows through the sw or it is screwed into a water port..

Also is your Honda standard or auto.I just got off the phone with the dealer. Let me know

alright well the guy at my dealer's an idiot.. but it's mounted right on the cooling pipe coming from the block.. it has 4 ports but it doesn't look like any of the one's in that picture.. they might still work but I don't want to pay for it and then find out it doesn't..

Explain cooling pipe. Is it in the area of the thermostat housing? Remember I am from Mississippi and some of our terms don't translate direcxtly.
