I have a 95 prelude SI and for some reason, after jumping it one day a thick gray smoke came from the dash for a few seconds and ever since, the gas and temperature gages(which are fully digital) stopped turning on. I checked the fuses and they are all fine. What could be the problem since everything else on the dash works?

Hi livestrongroadie,

During jump starting when there is a power surge, electronic components or printed circuits can get damaged. Seems the circuit for the 2 gauges mentioned have been affected and most likely the printed circuit has been shorted open.

As the components of the dash are working, that would rule out a power supply fault. You would need to remove the meter cluster to check the printed circuits.
