My prelude just recently had the water pump replaced and during that my boyfriend power washed the engine. Ever since my car is really slow until about 3500rpms. Its idles perfect but the 1st time I drove it it got hot again. I was wondering if maybe the belts weren't put back on right? Or r 2 lose? Or maybe something got wet that shouldn't have? Thank u 4 your help

Hi spoiled,

If the reason for replacing the water pump was due to overheating, you might have already damaged the head gakets before the replacement.

Check if the cooling system has been properly bled of air.

As to the sluggish acceleration, most probably the tiiming belt has been installed incorrectly resulting in the cam timings out of position. Recheck the timing marks to confirm.
