1987 Honda Prelude Steering issue, no one has had any good

I have been building my car for four years now, and nearly everything has been replaced. I removed my power steering for added horse power, so I know that my problem can't having anything to do with that. When I turn my steering wheel to the right, there is a popping somewhere, and my steering wheel moves. My steering wheel will turn upside down, or sideways, etc.. when the popping occurs. I still have control over my wheels, and how they turn, but going through right turns, my wheel repositions itself. Do you have any ideas? Is it even a possibility for my right axle not being clipped into the transmission properly to have anything to do with it?

Check your cv boots and the joints, could also be a ball joint problem. give them a good looking at.
