This just happened this week. Wifes honda pilot transmission starts jerking and will quit pulling on street use only, never offroad. Shut engine off and start back up and it runs fine a while 15 minutes or so. Tried to trigger some sort of light combination blinking, using engine off while in gear then shift back to park and restart, plus other combinations. Found one combination with the shifter in first, the drive light would blink. Not sure what I was doing when I got it to do that. Never had transmission trouble before. Always dealer maintained on schedule.

Hi jtr32533,

Thank you for the donation.

When the D4 light blinks, an error has been detected in the transmission control system and a scan is required to retrieve the trouble code for diagnostics and rectification.

Get the scan done and let me know the trouble code so I can assist in diagnosing the problem.
