I have a 1990 integra Ls with a Japan honda 1.6L vtec motor swap. Motor has 57,000 miles.
well my problem started a few weeks ago. When ever I start the car and drive to work it's fine but once a few minutes gose by and the motor start to heat up, it will start to make a rattling sound when I apply gas. Even sometime when I stop at a redlight or something you can still hear it. The sound coming from the front driver side fender. Yesterday I took the car to a shop the guy check it out, told me that I didn't have any power steering fluid. He told me all I had to do to fix this problem was to go buy some power steering fluid and it'll stop the noise. So I did but it still rattles. Help me anyone

Do yourself a favor and check the harmonic balancer to see if it is loose.

I checked that already it's not loose.
Can a bad belt cause this problem

Now you are in to finding wihich belt driven device has a bearing going out.

Well, you could take it in to the shop or you can take the belts off and turn the pulleys of the alternator, a/c, power steering or idler pulley and see how smoothly they turn. I would venture that one of them will come up rough. While the belts are off, check them for cracking and wear.

How much do u thing is gonna cost me for a shop to check to see where's the problem is and fixing it

Well it shouldn't cost too much to remove and check the systems. Once the one is located, then the cost goes up as they remove it, replace it and re-install. The parts will vary in complexity of work and cost.

I would take it to a shop, have them listen to the sound and confirm my suspicions. They will probably do that for you and give you an estimate.
