Transmission problem
2001 Other Honda Models Front Wheel Drive Automatic 160000 miles
I put my car in park while it was still rolling. Is there a way that I can fix it without having to deal with an expensive mechanic? The gearshift is stuck between reverse and park and when I turn it on it makes a lound squeaking noise. what can I do to fix it and about how much will it cost?

Hi INeedHelp9292,
What is your model, engine and trans code?
Your action could have damaged the parking pawl and to check, you would have to remove the rear cover.
The cheapest and simplest fix would be if it is caused by the shift cable out of adjustment due to the impact of shifting into park.
