1996 Other Honda Models Slow to Pick-up
Engine Performance problem
1996 Other Honda Models 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 81000 miles
My car is 1996 Honda Integra. For some reason it is a bit slow at accelerating while running in normal gear. You can feel the lack of power while driving. The mechanic I'd been to feels that it could be a problem with the transmission but isn't very sure. He has noticed that the Automatic transmission oil has become very dirty and needs to be changed for which he says a transmission service needs done wherein the oil will be pumped out completely and new oil injected.
Do you think this will rectify the problem with slow acceleration please? Could there be something else wrong as well?
