Hi there I have a 94 honda integra 1.6 litre twin carb dc1 model. When I start the car up cold the idle goes to 1500rpm and slowly edges its way upto 2000rpm. As the car warms up the idle drops to about 1200 rpm and stays there for a while. It then goes to normal 700-900 rpm and when the fan comes on it drops extremely low- nearly to cut off. Any help would be appreciated. Run smooth and everything else is fine no oil burn. Just idle problems.

Integra or Acura-

Try checking the fast idle cam adjustment and vacumm break linkages to include a sticking throttle plate. Look for an idle up solenoid check that too. Also the choke plate initial adjustment.

Note: When the computer recieves an AC or a fan signal its suppose to raise the idle to compensate for the load by controlling an idle air control valve/speed controller to maintain the target speed.
