2002 Honda Insight 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 118800 miles
When I use the power locks, both the driver and passenger sides work while the doors are closed. The driver's side lock does not work while the door is open. Therefore, I can lock myself inside the car, but I can't lock the driver's side when I leave the car. When I try to press the lock manually, it doesn't go in all the way unless the door is closed. What gives?

Nevermind, I'm dumb. I just downloaded the owner's manual and found where it states that you have to hold the driver door handle while pressing the lock to lock it.
