2000 Honda HRV Splutters and misses when accelerator presse
Engine Performance problem
2000 Honda HRV 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 120000 miles
I can't get any power out of my HRV. I can only feather the accelerator as when I press it further it splutters and dies. I can't get up any roads with an incline. I changed the usual cap, rotor, plugs, air filter, fuel filter. Compression reads 175 at each. I have a error code for the Evap solenoid valve but surely it wouldn't cause that much lack of power. Just passed its MOT and emissions without any issues. I buy my petrol at various garages and have also flushed the engine.
