2003 Honda Element Repair Question

2003 Honda Element code po507 idle goes 1000 to 1500 every
im having a problem with my car the idle goes up and down between 1000 to 1500 rpm every 2 sec what could be the problem? some says that i have to relean it or what so ever how can i do that pls help me thanks

Hi tjcruz,
The idling system is malfunctioning.
Check for vacumn leakages, PCV , vacumn hoses etc.
Check the IAC and its coolant hoses for clogging. Low coolant level would also cause the problem.

i already checked the vacum hoses it seems good it has some vacum, so the question is how can i check the iac valve?

Hi tjcruz,
There should be more than 1 vacumn hose.
Remove the air intake hose, do not disconnect IAT or any other sensors.
Start engine, at lower part of throttle body you would the IAC, disconnect it. Does the engine rpm goes up and hunts? Plug the socket back, does the rpm drop to 700?
If yes to the above, the IAC is ok.
