I have an 04 Del Sol ,5pd, VTEC.
I had to replace the computer on it recently.It did fine for a couple of weeks but now it sometimes will not crank.I replaced the fuel sensor and that didnt fix it. I have been listening to the fuel pump prime up for about 3 seconds and the times it wont crank it doesnt make a sound. If I continue to turn the switch off and back on I will eventually hear the pump prime up and then it cranks. My mechanic says the fuel pump works through the sensor and through the computer and we have gotten a bad computer. The computer is a re-build. My question is ,is there any way to confirm that it is the computer and not something else?
