Hi djchaz75,
Coolant leaks from the timing belt area is due to a failing water pump. Overheating would not occur unless the coolant level has dropped.
You need to get the water pump replaced asap to avoid damaging the engine when the leaks causes the coolant level to drop resulting in overheating.
