The speedometer has been working off and on (now mostly not working) as well as the odometer just stopped working. Could the problem be with the cable? If so how do I locate the cable to check for corrosion.
Thanks

[quote:ea6ac44143="jimhenni"]I have a 1993 Honda Civic dx, 157000 miles. The speedometer has been working off and on (now mostly not working) as well as the odometer just stopped working. Could the problem be with the cable?

I think! instead of looking for a cable , you'll be looking for the VSS Vehicle Speed Sensor at the transmission-take it out, key in On position, spin the the sensor the speedo should fluctuate then come back
