Rip-Off

I recently moved to a new town with a new job. At the same time I noticed that braking was causing the steering column to vibrate on my 2005 Honda Civic Ex Sedan. The problem quickly worsened so I had to make a quick decision. To take it to the dealer. Bad decision I know. It seemed my rotors were warped and needed to be resurfaced. I reluctantly gave them the go ahead not knowing much about the part itself. When they finished with all four rotors, $260 dollars worth of damage to my bank account. I feel slightly taken advantage of by my constant talks with their service manager. I was wondering what I could do to avoid this in the future and if anyone else has had a similar experience. Is there a way to complain? I know it won't do much good but it's at least worth voicing an opinion. Thanks for any reply.

Edit: Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section. First timer!

You had the brakes redone with new pads as well? I would hope so. And they did turn the rotors (resurface) or did they replace them?

I don't think the price is terribly outrageous. If that was labor and parts it was OK. What did they put on for pads?

Ceramic is where I would go and in the future on Hondas until they make some changes in the rotors, I would replace the rotors at a part store and not have them turned.

Nope. No brake pads. They said they still had a good bit of life in them. Just the rotors turned and polished.

You were taken. I bought brand new rotors from NAPA for $23 a piece.
