Honda Civic Repair Question

PLEASE HELP -- loose side mirror
2000 Honda Civic...65,000 miles....
I was driving into the garage today extremely slowly, but I was tired and I hit the passenger side external mirror on the garage door frame. There is a scrape and the mirror is considerably loose (to the point that I am concerned it could fall off while driving). What can I do? My mom will kill me if she finds out! I really need to fix it...please help me! The glass on the mirror is perfectly intact, I just need to solve the problem of the looseness! PLEASE HELP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!!!

take off the piece of plastic on the opposite side of the mirror. (its a triangular lookin piece on the inside of the ca) and there should be 3 bolts with i think 5/16 size nuts. just tighten them down.
