Good day,

I have a 1994 Honda Civic DX, automatic transmission, 81,000 miles on it. I just got the car and it's giving me alot of problems where now I just feel like giving up on it. Please help me resolve this engine problem. What happens is it overheats, I open the radiator cap when the vehicle is on and I noticed that there's no movement with the coolant in the radiator even if I rev on the gas, not even the fan ons when the temperature goes up. What I useually do is on the heater in order for the temp to go down. And also another problem is my 3rd spark plug everytime I take it out, it'll be soaking in oil, I've changed the Valve cover gasket and the Spark plug gasket as well. But it's still soaking only my 3rd spark plug. Please help me with your best solution ASAP.... Thank you. :D

Nothing too serious on the plug. Take it apart again and this time when you reassemble the seals on the plug wells try a bit of gasket sealer available at the auto store. Make sure the cover nuts are properly torqued down.

Radiator - the movement of the coolant is dependent upon the thermostat to open and close. If the thermostat is closed there is not movement of the antifreeze no matter how high you rev the engine. The thermostat might be your problem. It is easy to replace and pretty cheap. Give that a try. Then be sure to bleed the system of air. Make sure the top of the radiator has no hairline cracks.
