I have a 00 Civic EX, manual trans, 128K miles. I've got no acceleration on the car anymore. Whenever I put the car into gear it takes way too long to get up to speed to switch gears again. This is the case with 1st-2nd.2nd-3rd.3rd-4th gear. After I hit about 50mph the acceleration is back and I've got no problems switching into 5th when I get to speed. What kind of issues am I facing here?

Might be timing but it could be plug wire problem as well.
Does it run smoothly and idle fine?

Idles fine at just under 1000 and seems to run smoothly.
