Hello and great site. I have a problem with my car overheating. It only occurs while i am at a traffic light or stopped. The gauge will rise all the way to the top of its range normally it is in the middle. At the same time the heater starts blowing cold air. I also notice that the transmission shifts rough when this is occuring.I have changed the thermostat and flushed the system. I took the car to honda and they said it was a leaking head gasket but before I have major work like that done i wanted to know if that sounds rite. Also the oil has no water in it and the water has no oil in it. The fans also turn on and off as expected. This car was bought new and has been maintained with a timing belt and water pump replacement at 80000. Thanks for the help
