2001 Honda Civic 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 76354 miles
this car will not run after it gets hot,like it has a brake in the electical system the car will not go over 20 miles and is turning the exhaust system red.the machanic said that it could be a vacume leak or an injector running lean,is this the case?

Hi rudy martinez,
At least one cylinder is not firing correctly resulting in excessive fuel getting to the catalytic converter causing it to glow red.
It could be bad spark plugs or related parts such as ignition coil, leaking fuel injectors, compression leaks, clogged catalytic coverter.
