I have a 1999 Honda Civic VP with almost 100,000 miles. Recently I have been having problems with the car turning off while driving. It doesn't matter how fast I am driving, the car will just shut off and then I coast to the side of the road and put the car in park. I can usually just immediatley start the car right up, but sometimes it takes a minute to start. It happens randomly and I am clueless to what is going on. I replaced the spark plugs and battery and it hasn't helped. Any help on this problem would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Sounds like the main EFI relay is heating up and causing the car to quit.

It is located under the dash at the very top about in line with the left knee. It is a big relay attached to the upper dash with a 10mm bolt.

Locate the relay and see if it is hot after the car stops. It is pricy to replace unless you go to a salvage yard.

Typical Honda problem Good Luck
