1998 Honda Civic Overheated

Engine Performance problem
1998 Honda Civic 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 147000 miles

Vehicle overheated to the point where it shut down, had a busted hose. Replaced hose, thermostat ran it and engine is pulling. Engine was running fine prior to this incident. Thinking probably a busted gasket or warped/cracked head.. any help?

Hi there,

check for bubbles in the coolant while running, this can be exhaust gasses in the coolant, you can get this tested, is it running with a miss fire? often after a chronic overheating like this, the radiator can block up internally, get this tested as well.
