Hi postal1120,

Overfilling of the reserve tank would cause overflowing. Is the cap replaced of the correct specs?

If the coolant level in the radiator is low, it would happen. After replacement of thermostat, was the system bled properly? Is the reservoir hose inside the tank properly attached to the cap joint?

The worst case scenario is a blown head gasket.
