1998 Honda Civic brake caliper

My 10mm socket will not fit the hole in the top of the caliper which allows access to the 10mm caliper bolt. Is there aspecial tool required

Hi cpaydo,

The caliper bolts are 12 mm hex bolt heads with 8 mm threads. No special tools are required and the easier way is to remove the lower bolt and twist the caliper up and you can pull the caliper assy out together with the pin.
