I just got my car out of the shop and they balanced the tires, after having to reseal one. A couple days later I began to hear a creaking sound every time the car goes over a bump or other rough driving on the road. It's like the shocks are audible now. Could this be because of the car being balanced incorrectly or is it due to cold weather that has recently hit the northeast with a bunch of snow?

First thing to check is the lug nuts.I have seen a lot of problems just after people come from tire shops. Creaking can be the ball joint, raise the car shake the tire with your hands at 9 and 3 o'clock position, then at 12, and 6. ANY free play in any joints?
