Air Conditioning problem
1992 Honda Civic 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 150xxx miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I got a problem with my AC. Two summers ago the AC worked fined. Last summer it started dying on me. It would work for a bit and go out. Then it would work again and than go out. I noticed the light from my climate control would occasionally go out as well. When I give it a hit the light would than come on. The AC button has a light that seems to be functioning well.
The compressor does not kick at the moment with the AC on. Although it does kick when I get a wire directly from the battery to the compressor. The fuse for the cooling fan, rear window, and etc is properly working. I tested the two relays by the fan and it turned out good. I have power going to the relays as well. I currently don't have freon in the system. I think it might be my climate control. Any opinion would help. Thank you very much..

You stated above that there is NO freon in the system. Well, that is probably your problem with the a/c not working. At least the way I read it.

If that is not the case then have you check the A/C High-Low Pressure Cut-Out Switch.
