I have a 1997 Honda Accord and my instrument panel does not light up. You can see what gear the car is in as long as the headlights are off, but at night when the headlights are on, I cannot read anything on the dash/instrument panel? What could this be?

There are 9 different versions of accords in 1997. I can look up the wiring diagram if I know which car you have. List accord DX, EX, LX, SE, and sedan or coupe.
Also list if you have the V6 or 4 cyinder engine.
Have you looked at the light fuses?

It's me again. I have a 1997 Honda Accord DX Sedan 4 cylinder. I have had all the fuses checked and they are all fine. Please check the wiring diagram for me and suggest any other possible causes for this problem.
Thank you

If fuse 32 small light 15a is ok, I would suspect the light switch itself.

Ok, I'll have the switch checked. Thank you. I also have another question. My car, same car, 1997 Honda Accord DX Sedan 4 cylinder cuts off while I'm driving it. I have had it checked and one mechanic told me it was the a/c relay switch and I got that fixed and it kept cutting off so I got a new oxygen sensor(AutoZone's diagnostic test revealed that I needed one) and it still cuts off. It usually cranks right back up, but sometimes it takes several attempts to get it started back. It is really starting to scare me, because it usually cuts off in the middle of traffic and I have put so much money into trying to fix that one problem that I am burned out and the problem is still there. A lot of times it will cut off and I won't even notice it until I try to accelerate. After about two minutes, it will beep to let me know that the engine is off, if I don't realize it before then. Would could this be? I am out of money. Please help.

I would look at having the PGM-EFI relay replaced. These have been known to cause the engine to die, and start whenever it wants to.
