1999 Honda Accord. mileage:90550. The engine stalls suddenly for no reason, mostly occurs in the morning when i slow down to take a turn or near a speed bump. It also stalls when i stop in signal after little chugging like misfire. It starts up immediately when i crank again.I replaced the fuel lines, ignition wires, spark plugs and also tried the Honda safety recall 1997-99 HONDA IGNITION SWITCH - which is similar to my issue. But still the problem is not resolved, Fear to take the vehicle in speedway nowadays.Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Check the EGR valve - clean it. Are you getting a check engine light? When you did the fuel lines did you replace the fuel filter?

Fuel filter is not changed.Yes, check engine is on with a DTC- P1457.I was told that is not related to this problem and will not harm engine also. So i did not fixed that.

P1457

A very common late 90's code, P1457 is a failure in one of the evap system solenoid valves. There are 2 culprits, the Vent Control Valve & the 2 Way Bypass Valve. They are located under the vehicle, roughly below the left rear seat area. They short out due to corrosion/contamination from water seeping into the valves. I changed both, but the real culprit seems to be the 2 Way bypass Valve.

Thanks for your help on this. Is this EVAP valve causing the engine stall or there may be another code that will show up only after fixing P1457?
