how the suspension system work and can I maket better?

Hi DR PEPPER,

There is no such thing as making the suspension better as each individual has his own preference. You can make it suit your requirements.

The basic function of the suspension systen is to make the vehicle comfortable to ride with good road holding and stability.

It consists of many components and the basics for ride quality are done by the springs and strut ( absorbers). A harsh ride would reduce the comfort but would be more stable at higher speeds.

Soft comfortable ride would result in feelings of floating and body roll.

The springs are to absorb the bumps of the road and when therre is no absorbers to absorb the springing effect, the vehicle would be running around as if you are on the high seas in a storm. The absorbers are to stop the springing rate as quickly as possible without feeling the vehicle thumping on the road.
