Aug 06 - replaced serpentine belt
Jan 07 - tune up, change fuel filter, put in spark plugs [twice - they put in the wrong ones to start!], Replace fuel injectors, replace fuel pressure regulator.
This fixed the check engine light that had been on since I bought it in August!
After all that it ran GREAT. For 3 weeks.
Now:
1 - chirping sound a few times a minute - reminds me of mice
2 - sounds like a jet engine off and on
3 - slight hesitation when speeding up/slowing down
4 - a bit of a rougher ride [the tire pressure is good according to the scale for cold tires]
The noise isn't enough to hear when the heater is on. The weather did drop to -38C [-50C with a windchill] - the only thing I did different was put in a bottle of gasline antifreeze when I filled it up. Its starting fine, no codes/check engine light [so no misfires right?]
I have tried it without the heater on [possibly ac someone told me] & the noise/problems are still there. I've also tried it in 4 wheel drive vs 2 wheel drive - exactly the same.
Is this due to the cold weather, a misaligned belt [the chirping?]. Or something drastic? Thanks for the help
