2002 Honda Accord Engine does not rev up to 5rpm

Engine Performance problem
2002 Honda Accord 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 127987 miles

On using the diagnostic tools to check the what could be the problem. The code was P1259 - manufacturer specific DTC was the message.
When I tried to eraze this code, it re-appears immediately.

Please, what is the meaning of this code? What could probably be the problem?

Hi yinkebo,

P1259 = A problem in V-TEC oil pressure switch circuit or V-TEC Solenoid valve circuit.

That is the reason the engine cannot rev up fully and is sluggish at high speeds.
