Two years ago, I started noticing my Accord was burning oil. There is no smoke coming from the exhaust nor are there any drips. I took it in to the dealer, who said it was the O-ring and that I would need to replace the engine. Here it is two years later, my car is running fine still no other symptoms other than burning about a quart of oil every 500 miles. Is there something else to look for? Thanks.

Hi KMC2010,

At the age and mileage, the most common cause for oil consumption would be worn valve seals. A little consumption of oil is inevitable and you can continue as usual till the oil consumpton increases before proceeding with repair.
