2001 Honda Accord strange noise
Electrical problem
2001 Honda Accord 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 130000 miles
A strange noise comes from under the dashboard of this honda accord. The noise appears to be coming from the lowest part of the heater/cooling molded plastic section. There is a small molded box which I assume has some electrical component located just over the center "hump" under the dash. When the car is running or the key is on acc. a scratching noise comes from this molded box. When the small cable is disconnected the noise stops and it takes some time before it starts again. Heater, fan, cooling, none of these controls seem to have any affect.
