I took my car in for its scheduled oil change at the dealership yesterday. While waiting, I was told that my drain bolt was loose and that they would replace it for $5 with a bigger bolt. Well, now my car is leaking oil. When I called the dealer today, they said that with a car with such high mileage, it is common for the bolt to be stripped over time. Now they want $506 to replace my oil pan. I think that they stripped my bolt and should fix it. They say I am responsible. They did the last three oil changes. Who should be responsible?
