1998 Honda Accord 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 135k miles

My accord will not stay running at idel. I can depress the gas pedal to keep the engine running, but when I let off the pedal the engine quits. There are no fault lights illuminated on the dash board. The engine does not have any unusual sounds either.

Hi Keith,

The idling circuit seems to be faulty and I would suggest cleaning the throttle body, idle adjust screw and Intake Air Control with carb cleaner and readjusting the idling speed to rectify.
