1997 Honda Accord Replacement of upper control arm
Suspension problem
1997 Honda Accord 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 167000 miles
Planning on replacing the control arms on my daughters
Honda and would like to know what is involved.
My son and I have a good amount of tools and experience with backyard auto repair, but as we have never done this we would appreciate some direction before we start.
Thanks
DK

Hi dkon50,
For control arms replacement, not much tools are required.
Here is a diagram of the suspension.

For lower control arm replacement, you need to disconnect the lower ball joint, strut rod, strut anchor, stabilizer bar links and the arm holding bolt.
