My 1997 honda accord wagon has oil seeping from the valve cover. Last year I had the timing belt replaced. Mechanic said today that there was oil in the spark plugs too. I have the car's oil replaced every 3,000 miles. Do you think when the timing belt was replaced the problem started? Is it possible that oil can seep into the timing belt?

The valve cover would have been removed to do this job, they are a rubber type seal, it may just require re tightening down as the seals do shrink over time.

That's 2 separate issues that you have. Oil in the spark plug indicates a bad oil seal, not an expensive part and not very hard to replace but you will have to remove the valve cover to replace it anyway and valve cover gaskets are not expensive either. Good luck.
