1996 Honda Accord Front Brake Rotor Replacement

Brakes problem
1996 Honda Accord 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Hi,

I am trying to replace the front rotors on my 96 honda accord.
I have the wheels removed and four screw holding a hub behind the wheel are also removed.

There is a large center nut that holds the hub in front of the rotor. There are crimps in the metal flange on the nut, how do I straighten the criimps so the nut will turn? Does this nut loosen counter clockwise?

Thanks,
Mike

the torque of the impact gun usually loosens the nut without a problem. if you plan to remove it by hand, you might need to hammer it with a center punch, if you could get it between the spaces, to open up the crease.
counter clockwise to loosen. tighten it at the same spot so the bearing doesn't wear out.
