The speedometer on my honda stoped working and the D4 light is blinking?

Hi dmeman,

The symptom described points to a faulty speed sensor or its wiring circuit. Retrieve the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) by counting the number of blinks of the CEL when the SCS connector is bridged and ignition switch turned to ON.

Long flashes = 10 and quick flash = 1.

The speed sensor malfunctioning would be acompanied by erratic gear shifting at times.
