Engine Cooling problem
1992 Honda Accord 4 cyl 223000 miles

My 92 Honda Accord has had no heat for a while. I had someone work on the car and somehow the back piece of the thermostat got sucked into the engine. The car doesn't have a thermostat because the car was overheating. Please help.

A D.I.Y, I work on my own car from time to time. 1st, I would re-install a new thermostat, that would be my preference even though you can run with out, just to avoid any issues in the future. 2nd, the heater valve for heat inside the car is located at the passenger side fire wall. Heater hose line runs into one end of this valve (with a cable on top to adjust valve) then straight into the firewall. The valve could be stuck closed.
