1991 Honda Accord "S" light on steady, wont shift

"S" light on steady, Car wont shift on its own. I can manually shift it thru Reverse, 1st and 2nd; not too sure if its really shifting into 3rd or 4th. Can the ECU tell me whats wrong? Is the transmission control module the problem?

Yes, the printed circuit board inside the TCM has a small burned area on it. A new or good used TCM should fix your problem. To verify, take TCM off the underside of the metal passenger side floorboard foot rest. Remove slotted head screws to remove metal covers on each side of control unit. Inspect carefully for evidence of this damage. Please let me know how you do.
