[i:b8b55b3ee1]I have a 86 honda accord lx, with 5 speed tranny, tbi, the car has 300500 on it, I am the ony one that works on the car. I wanted to find out what I could do to get more power out of the car. I do all the work and take very good care of my car so I thought that maybe someone could help me out.

Power. You can have a car which does not use oil, but it may not have all that much compression left in it. I would strongly suggest the compression to be checked. There was another test I recently read about that was very good as well. Do you know what that is Losone?

Ive done a compression test and everything is good, I just really want to get more horsepower out of the car, I think I can but just dont know how, everything is stock on this car.

It is your call on what to do. A simple thing that provides a small amount of increased HP is to mess with an air delivery system. There is one for every make of car that claims to boost the HP. Many of the other things start costing more money and given the age of the engine would not be a good idea. Is this car having less power than it has in the past?

The car has not lost any power, I just dont know where I can find anything to buy to increase hp, all I can find is basically suspention upgrades and body kits. I really want to see if there is a place that makes a cold air intake for this car. Most of the places make intakes for basically 90 and above. I thought maybe someone would know of a place that I could order a cold air intake or how I could get more horsepower
out of my honda.

To close this one out, I use the automotiveforums. Com link a lot and they really get into the mod on engines and they either have that info in the database that is searchable or someone there will answer it.
