Hi guys im having trouble with my auto as i only have 2nd and 3rd gears with no kick-down also no overdrive the problem started when i took of from a set of lights when it kicked into third the engine management light came on and stays on i also lost 1st gear the next day but when i unplugged the ECU then put it back 1st gear come back for 2 to 3 days the auto was only built 12 months ago and has not missed a beat until this problem occurred i seem to think it could be the ECU but do not want to spend the money without asking some questions first could you help please.
