My high beams do not work, low beams do. A few weeks ago the low beams did not work and the high beams worked. I check the voltage at each light connection and it was good. I also replaced one head lamp with a spare I had and it made no difference. I feel like it is in the turn signal/low-high beam switch in the column but don't know for sure. Turn signals work fine. Not sure how to check the switch without replacing it?

Seawellmw,

I will need the year, make and model of the vehicle so that I can look up the proper info for your diagnosis/repair. Please post it asap. Thanks.

Seawellmw,

Please forgive my last post (I'm feeling my age today). Anyway, check the dimmer switch. It si located on the steering column under the dash (drivers' side). You'll be able to feel the rod that operates the switch as you operate the dimmer/multi-function switch. This will lead you the dimmer switch. Check its connections for burn marks, corrosion, ect. At a last resort try a different switch. (You may fiind a used one for a very reasonable price)
