Headlights (low beams)

My daytime running lights go on and off and at night my low beams are off everything else is on every now and they go on at night but most of the time they're off. Do you think the bulbs need replacing?

Does this change when you manually put them on instead of leaving them on automatic?

What make of car and engine size?

It sounds like its the ambient light sensor. I would start there and then also check the relays for your headlamps.
