REALLY Stuck pitman arm

I have a 94 yukon and am having trouble with removing the pitman arm.
I removed the relay rod and idler arm and got a pitman arm puller but on my truck the frame is 3 inches directly under the steering box where the pitman arm connects leaving me with no space to fit in the puller, I dont want to use a pickle fork because it might ruin the gear on the steering box plus the forks are not even wide enough. This is my only car and I need it ready for the winter. Any advice would help me please.
PS. I tried to put it all back together to drive to the shop and have them do it but now the ball is spinning on the pitman arm when I try to put the nut back on. I'm s*@! Out of luck right now!

You have to remove the steering gear from the truck, or lock the steering wheel, remove the mounting bolts of the steering gear. Turn it sideways and get a pitman arm puller and a good impact to remove the pitman arm itself. To get it loose from the drag link, pickle fork or strike the draglink with a 3LB hammer next to where the pitman arm joins it, the shock will break it loose.
